Financial assistance
The scholarship for postgraduate students (doctorate)
The Department can provide financial assistance, of a social nature, to 3rd cycle students from the Dordogne to promote the pursuit of long studies and encourage research.
This assistance, of a social nature, is granted for a maximum period of 3 years, on presentation of the thesis project validated by the thesis director of the university.

The loan of honor to students in higher education
The Department of the Dordogne has set up a 0% honorary loan, without deposit, in favor of Périgord students to facilitate the pursuit of their studies in higher education establishments of the State or recognized by the latter.
Loans are exclusively reserved for higher education students domiciled in the Dordogne or whose family has its main residence in the Dordogne.
The applicant can choose, according to his needs, between 2 loans of €1,000 or €2,000. This honorary loan applies to one year of study. It is renewable twice at most for the duration of the studies.

Specific financial support for medical and odontology students
The specific study grant for students in general or specialty medicine, and in odontology from the Departmental Council.
You are a student in general medicine, specialty or odontology, the Departmental Council can provide you with its support to enable you to continue your studies in good conditions, in the form of financial aid of 200 euros per month.
The specific scholarship is intended for students enrolled in an approved university in the European Union from the 2nd to the 9th year and committing to practice in the Dordogne, in an area defined as a priority by the Department, at the end of their studies. .
A maximum of 5 specific study grants are allocated, per year, in priority to students who have signed a Public Service Commitment Contract and to students from the Dordogne.

The Public Service Commitment Contract (CESP)
Medical and dentistry students may be granted a monthly allowance of €1,200 from the 2nd year of their studies, for a number of years equal to that during which they will have received the allowance and for a minimum of two years.
The signature of a CESP commits the beneficiary to choose a less represented specialty or to exercise his functions, on a self-employed or salaried basis, in an area where the medical offer is insufficient or the continuity of access to care is threatened, in give priority to rural revitalization zones and urban policy priority neighbourhoods.
The signatory of a CESP chooses the place of practice from a national list established by the National Management Center on the proposal of the Regional Health Agency of New Aquitaine.
Students who sign a CESP also benefit from individualized support during their training and support when settling in.

The Bergerac Health Center scholarship
The PACES is the First Common Year of Health Studies for students who are destined for one of the four medical fields: medicine, odontology (dental), pharmacy or midwifery (midwifery).
The cost of studies is such that today many students from Bergeracois can no longer access the PACES.
This is why the Pôle de Santé de Bergerac proposes to offer, with the assistance of sponsors, an annual scholarship of €2,000 to a student from Bergerac as defined by the Local Health Contract of the Bergerac Agglomeration Community.
The conditions to be met to benefit from the Bergerac Health Center scholarship are as follows:
- Having completed three years of high school in the territory of Bergerac;
- Have obtained a baccalaureate S, if possible with honors;
- Have parents who are not taxable or have income in the first tax bracket;
- Provide his certificate of schooling in the Faculty of Medicine;
- Succeed in your first semester of PACES to receive the full scholarship, paid in two equal parts (half being subject to success in the first semester.

The Regional scholarship based on social criteria for health and social training
Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region leads an active policy of support for health and social training. It finances these training courses and secures the qualification paths of future social, paramedical and health professionals by granting them a scholarship based on social criteria.
From the nursing assistant to the occupational therapist, from the nurse to the educator of young children, from the home help to the social worker, all these professionals are important: well trained and supported in their qualification process , they will be able to meet the needs of the population in terms of social and health services.
Who can benefit from a scholarship?
Students (without age or residence conditions) enrolled in initial training in a training institute in the social, paramedical or health sector approved by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region.
The scholarship is awarded subject to means:
- the parent(s) (for students under 26 who are fiscally attached to their parents or who are not financially independent),
- the student or the student’s couple (for students over 26 or financially independent).
Specific situations relating to parents (single parents, divorced/separated/remarried parents, etc.) or to the student (dependent children, guardianship, orphan, family breakdown, etc.) are taken into account for the calculation of resources.
